Alnwick Youth Hostel was officially opened by HRH Queen Elizabeth on the 22nd June 2011. The quirky building was once the Old Courthouse and Police Station but has been transformed into a hostel accommodating 57 in 15 rooms of various sizes from 2 to 6 bed. All rooms are ensuite and all bedding is provided. We have a large, spacious dining room (where guests can enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast)

as well as a lounge, games room, self-catering kitchen and a meeting room. Externally we have renovated our courtyard which is now a lovely area with picnic tables. We are cycle friendly and can provide secure cycle storage. Alnwick Youth Hostel is a not for profit social enterprise, with profits being donated to good causes in the local area.
