They made it to the Allendale chimneys! 🐾💚 One of my favourite walks near Cranmore Cottage and Camellia Cottage!

And just LOOK at that gorgeous face! Our lovely Cranmore guests sent me this photo before heading home today, along with a little message thanking us for a great stay. What a lovely way to start the day. 🥰

Big skies, open moorland and a very photogenic walking companion. A rather lovely holiday memory to take home!

What are you all about?”

If someone asked me, it would go something like this.

Being able to go away with twelve dogs and relax so deeply into the sofa that you become part of it. Not worrying about the odd dog hair or muddy pawprint. Taking a breath deeper than you’ve taken in a long, long time.

Windswept walks across the moors of the North Pennines. That beautiful, remote wilderness where Cumbria meets Northumberland, with the Weardale Valley beyond.
Coming home to a country cottage that makes you feel you’ve stepped back in time. The Aga, the open fire, the log burner. Stepping outside after dark and looking up at a sky full of stars.

No pretensions. No hot tub. No fancy anything. Just comfy, clean beds and the happiness of spending your holiday with the dogs you couldn’t imagine leaving behind.
I can’t put a price on that feeling. And I won’t try.

That’s what Cranmore means to me. What I hadn’t quite realised was that, somewhere along the way, it had started to mean the same to you too.

Seeing twelve little dogs settled on our sofa brings that home to me.

This lovely cottage, where I hope to retire one day, is already giving so many of you a place to breathe, unwind and simply be happy together.

I’m really grateful for that. Thank you all. 🧡🐾

🐾❤️ Sometimes, the best weekends away are the ones where you do absolutely nothing! ❤️🐾

A huge thank you to the lovely Kerry and her gorgeous dogs, who joined us for a last-minute weekend escape at Cranmore Cottage! 🏡🐕

Kerry's lovely oldie had given everyone a bit of a fright with a health scare just before their visit. Thankfully, all was well in the end! ❤️

So, instead of the long walks and adventures they might have planned, their weekend turned into some much-needed rest, relaxation and recuperation. And by all accounts, it was just what the doctor ordered! 🥰

That's the lovely thing about escaping to our little corner of Cumbria. There's absolutely no pressure to climb mountains, clock up miles or do anything at all. Sometimes, a peaceful cottage, fresh country air and time together with your dogs is more than enough. 🐾

Kerry, thank you so much for choosing to spend your weekend with us. We're so pleased your lovely oldie is doing well and that you all enjoyed your little escape.
