Family holiday in a Scottish castle.🏰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Last week, Todd, Lori and their family stayed with us in all three apartments, accommodating 12 family members and had a very enjoyable time! The castle is ideal for larger groups, perfect for family holidays and gatherings with friends.

Have you visited Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh?

Last week, we had the pleasure of watching our son Maxwell take part in the Beating Retreat at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. It was a very proud day for us. 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎶

Beating Retreat is a centuries-old military ceremony that originated in the 16th and 17th centuries. Originally, it was a practical battlefield command where drummers were sent out to signal troops to cease fighting, return to camp at sunset, and close the garrison gates for the night.

“The Dungeon”

This week, a few of our guests left lovely comments in the guest books, mentioning how they appreciated having washing machine facilities during their stay.

One guest quoted, “I love that they have done my washing in a dungeon!”

The dungeon at the castle is accessible to every guest, whether for washing or storage and I'm sure you'll agree it comes in very handy when travelling. 🧦👖👕
