🎻 Dave Ayre – With nearly 30 years as a professional musician, Dave has performed with leading orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra, Hallé, Welsh National Opera, Manchester Camerata and many more. A sought-after jazz bassist, composer, and workshop leader, he has recorded and performed with artists such as Joni Mitchell, Damon Albarn, Yehudi Menuhin and Jarvis Cocker. Dave is also the Artistic Director of Stroud Arts Festival.
🎸 Matt Hopkins – Renowned for his inventive, melodic guitar style, Matt has performed with the Hopkins Hammond Trio, Andy Sheppard’s Hotel Bristol, Emily Wright & The Royals, and leads the acclaimed Music of Pat Metheny project alongside pianist Dave Newton. A respected jazz educator, Matt brings creativity, passion, and virtuosity to every performance.
Together, these outstanding musicians promise an early evening of superb jazz, beautiful melodies, and exceptional musicianship in the cosy surroundings of The Amberley Inn.
