Have you ever done this or has anyone left anything similar for you?

I am over the moon! There are some truly beautiful humans out there. This lovely young couple came for a surprise birthday on Shirley Bussey. They had a great time, the weather was lovely and they left her sparkling. Not only that but they left this card for us. Who does that?! I cried when I read it. So thoughtful. What lovely guests we’ve been having. Thank you so much! You are welcome back any time! It was a pleasure!

Have you ever left anything where you’ve stayed? I feel like now I should always take a card with me!

Did you see this last night?

Now I know I keep banging on about Autumn being lovely and you’re thinking ‘oh yeah’ but look at this sun show put on last night. You don’t have to stay up till 11pm to catch this right now. It’s right here at 6pm instead whilst you soak in your hot tub. The weather is warm and sunny and set to be like this for the next week. So what are you waiting for?

What have you got planned for Halloween? Any doggy outfits I should know about?

Mya’s got her outfit sorted and is ready to do some trick or treating….well actually she hopes for more treating than tricks. Vizslas don’t do tricks unless you pay them. If you’re busy this weekend howling at the moon and fancy a little quiet time next week, then do please check out our website because we have some availability.

The sun has finally made an appearance, that ridiculous wind has died down and it’s lovely again. Summer gets all the hype but autumn on Anglesey is a real hidden gem. Quieter beaches for long wanders, pubs with crackling fires and that fresh air that makes you want to stay out just a bit longer. Then back to Mount Pleasant Hideaway to warm up in your hot tub or by a fire pit under the stars.

If you could pick one autumn treat, what would it be? A beach walk first or a drink by a pub fire?

Who was awake last night?

I stayed awake last night listening to the wind, wondering if we were going to get hit by our third flying trampoline this week. Then I remembered that house sitting in the middle of the Menai Strait. I took a look today and the tide was nearly licking the doorstep. I realised my trampoline worries were small fry compared to these guys.

Meanwhile Mount Pleasant Hideaway is safely inland. So the wildest thing knocking at the door is probably a lost cow wanting to hop into your hot tub.

What would you prefer? A sea-battered cottage or muddy paws and peace?

Oh dear lord my poor guests! Today has been torrential. I can’t believe the difference in two weekends. The rain has been lashing down. Currently making Shirley Bussey all warm and toasty for a new arrival, unlike my feet which are sopping again. Third change of socks today! How about you? Has this storm eased for anyone? Tell me it’s like Bermuda where you are and it is going to be sunny again soon??

The word must be getting out as another boy Vizsla has checked into Mount Pleasant Hideaway this weekend! My girls are applying their mascara as I type. 🧡

Here is a snippet of a truly lovely review left by one owner that came recently and stayed in Garden Cottage. Meet Falkor, our very handsome four-legged guest who came to enjoy everything Anglesey has to offer. He was perfectly behaved, a true gentleman but golly this boy was bouncing for adventure! He bounced over the beaches, over the forest and bounced around our dog park, then went tto the sofa for a well deserved nap. Turns out Falkor is a bit of an expert in bouncing (and sleeping) and quite right too. You’re on holiday Falkor. Make yourself at home! Thank you Nikki for some lovely pictures of your holiday.

We are full this weekend! I’ve done 3 changeovers and have 2 more to do. Currently walking the dogs and saw this! If that’s not a sign to have a sit down, I don’t know what is!
