Our site has access to over 100 acres of private shoreline for guests to explore.
One of the greatest advantages of staying at Salen Bay Campsite is having direct access to a vast stretch of beautiful coastline right on your doorstep.

🚶 Convenient shoreline access paths lead directly from our campground, allowing guests to begin exploring without needing to get in the car.

🌺 With over 100 acres of open shoreline to discover, there is plenty of space to wander, explore hidden corners, and enjoy the natural beauty at your own pace.

🐕 The coastline around our pet friendly site provides an ideal environment for dog walking, with plenty of room for four-legged friends to stretch their legs and enjoy the fresh sea air.

🌊 Salen Bay's sheltered pebble shore is just a stone's throw from our main entrance, the perfect spot for doing some fishing, launching a small vessel or just sitting and watching the tide come in.

🦅 Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife as you explore as the shoreline and surrounding waters are home to a variety of animals, including deer, otter, porpoise and eagles...to name a few!

Over the next 5 Sundays we will be shining a spotlight on different reasons to book a stay at Salen Bay Campsite. Starting with our wonderful views... 😍

⛴️ Watch the CalMac ferry pass by the Green Isles on its travels, offering a unique glimpse of island life from the comfort of your pitch.

⛰️ The campsite enjoys stunning views of the surrounding hills and mountains, providing a dramatic backdrop whether you're relaxing on your pitch or enjoying an evening meal.

🏔️ On clear days, you may even spot the summit of Ben More, Mull's only Munro, standing proudly in the distance and reminding you just how special this corner of Scotland really is.

Our friends at Salen Village Fundraisers have put together a wonderful raffle in aid of their Christmas lights fund, with an absolutely fantastic prize to be won…2 tickets for the Waverley this May! ⛴️🤩

Details are as below:

- £10 per entry (to win 2 tickets)
- Entries close on Friday 15th May at noon
- Tickets are for Tuesday 19th May. The cruise leaves Salen pier at 12.10, heading up the Sound of Mull, out past Ardnamurchan lighthouse which is Britain’s westernmost point before viewing the small Isle of Muck and circumnavigating the Isle of Eigg, returning to Salen pier at 18.15.

The day is finally here… 🥳🎉

🌟 We are officially open for the 2026 season! 🌟

From now until the 31st October, we will be welcoming all of our guests to come and enjoy our little slice of Hebridean paradise, with 360° sea and mountain surrounds (and hopefully some sunshine too…☀️🤞🏼)

It is now just over 2 weeks until we open our doors for the 2026 season…how quickly did that come around?! 😱🤩

The team have been incredibly busy at the campsite over the winter months, building and repairing so that we come back bigger and better than ever 💙

We are so so excited to be able to start welcoming guests to our little piece of paradise 🏕️🗻🌊

Our 2025 season is officially over and what a year it has been! From those unforgettable stretches of Hebridean sunshine to the wild adventures of Storm Éowyn (and co!), and from familiar faces to first time visitors - this season has truly been one for the books 💙

A heartfelt thank you to every guest who chose to call Salen Bay Campsite home while exploring our wonderful island. We hope your stay was filled with glorious views, tranquil surrounds, and memories to last long after the ferry ride home 🛳

It’s that time of year again...Mull Rally fever is back! 🏎️

We’re thrilled to once again sponsor the amazing Cammy and Fiona, racing car #81, who’ll be using our campsite as their rally HQ this weekend!
If you’re out spectating, be sure to give them an extra-loud cheer as they speed by! 🙌
