So remember when I said we picked up 14 new chickens... well hubby said we needed 3 more which then turned into 4 more. So now with the 6 older girls we are fully flocked at 24.

Tonight they even went in all by themselves. Here's the full line up of the newbies. Full introductions coming soon...

SURPRISE… it’s chicken unboxing time! 🐓📦✨
As if by magic, we suddenly have 14 new girls joining the Cosy Coop…

Here they are arriving for the very first time and settling into their new home. We were early birds this year and got in before all the best breeds sold out!

There’s a real mix of sizes, colours and personalities already — and we can’t wait to watch them grow, settle in and become part of the flock over the next few months.

Come chicken shopping with us… 🐓✨

A BIG thank you to for taking the time to accommodate us on his day off.
He had the best selection of chickens I’ve seen, which meant I could finally get the breeds on my wanted list all together — some I’ve been waiting nearly 2 years for!

It’s always tricky adding new girls to an existing flock, especially when they’re all different sizes, so introductions will be slow and steady through the fence first. Luckily, we have two areas and two coops for sleeping and laying.

Now to watch their little personalities, colours and characters develop over the next few months…

The HOTTEST day of the year is here.

Just think twice before you think about going to the coast. You have been warned, Kent can be a nightmare. If you do want to go to the beach, travel early morning and leave before 12. Or simple chill by our pool instead, with plenty of shade and refreshments on tap. Whats not to love.
