The Badminton Set. Come for the horses. Stay for the company.

Old friends, new faces and the familiar pleasure of being amongst people who love Badminton just as much as you do. The conversations, chance encounters and friendships that make the week about so much more than the competition.

When the sport ends, and the sun sets, evenings at The Retreat begin.

Muddy boots, fire lit, first glass poured, dinner and stories from the day.

Badminton mornings, before the day begins.

Slow starts, long showers, the pleasure of taking your time getting ready, choosing an outfit to suit the British weather and the day’s equestrian adventures, whether dressage, cross-country or showjumping.

The first cup of tea, leisurely breakfasts and that all-important decision between healthy granola, smoked salmon or a full English - cooked especially for you by .

The little rituals of a Badminton morning, when you’re lucky enough to wake up right in the heart of it all at The Retreat.

🚿 Shower shown is in our luxury en-suite bell tent.

A little note from one of our returning guests… 🤍

There are so many ways to experience Badminton, but we rather like Abigail’s description of The Retreat as “a rather fabulous Badminton house party.”

Right in the heart of the action, with Huntsman’s on our doorstep, but with your own place to retreat to at the end of the day.

Horses, country life, great food, lovely wines and good friends. We think that sums up a week at The Retreat rather perfectly.

Thank you Abigail Warner for the lovely words. We’ll have a glass waiting for you in 2027. 🥂🐎

A few of our favourite Holland Cooper moments from Badminton.

From our Founder, Emily Lee, hosting conversations throughout the week in Holland Cooper, to beautifully considered touches across The Retreat, it was a partnership that felt entirely at home.

We also loved seeing Jade Holland Cooper unveil the new Bloomfields Horseboxes collaboration – a partnership that has certainly given us plenty of inspiration.

Timeless British style, equestrian heritage and a shared appreciation for thoughtful hospitality. We couldn’t have imagined a more natural fit.
