Located in the picturesque village of West Burton, Cauldron Falls is one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most peaceful and historic beauty spots. The waterfall tumbles over a series of limestone steps into deep pools below, shaped over centuries by Walden Beck as it winds through the village.

The falls are thought to have inspired artists and writers for generations, most notably J.M.W. Turner, who painted the scene during his tour of Yorkshire in the early 19th century. Its name comes from the swirling, cauldron-like plunge pools formed beneath the cascades.
