If you’re looking for a campsite with easy access to the best Snowdonia National Park has to offer, Tyn Cornel Camping fits the bill. Nestled on the banks of the river Tryweryn in the foothills of Arenig Fawr, the picturesque setting and high standard of facilities means we cater for everyone – whether you’re after level hardstanding for your caravan or motorhome, electric hook-up for your family tent with space for the kids to play, or a peaceful grassy spot with a picnic bench and fire pit. If you’re after some river action – kayaking, canoeing or whitewater rafting – you can’t beat our location. Tyn Cornel Camping gives you access to white water just a few metres from your pitch and a lovely riverside walk takes you to the popular National White Water Centre in just five minutes. The outdoor adventure needn’t stop at the riverbank though. If you like hill walking, mountain biking, road cycling or rock climbing the fun is close by.

2016 is Wales’ Year of Adventure and if you enjoy exploring at a more sedate pace, there is plenty to do within easy reach. The market town of Bala, with its beautiful lake, is only 4 miles away. The North Wales coastline, with its gorgeous award-winning beaches, is also nearby and you’ll find it hard to choose which castle or narrow-gauge railway to visit first…….. Whatever floats your boat, we hope to meet you soon!

Sixty years ago, on 21 October 1966, the village of Aberfan suffered a tragedy that would forever be etched into the heart of Wales.

At 9:15am, tip 7 collapsed above the village and engulfed Pantglas Junior School and nearby homes.

116 children and 28 adults lost their lives.

Sixty years may have passed, but Wales has not forgotten

🚨 A Different Kind of Activity at Tyn Cornel Camping! 🚨

On Thursday, we were pleased to welcome HM Coastguard to Tyn Cornel Camping for a CPD training session. 🚁🌊

It was great to see our launch point being used for this important training, helping our emergency services stay prepared for the work they do to keep people safe.

A big thank you to the HM Coastguard team for all that you do! 👏

🌿 We're Recruiting – Seasonal Campsite Manager 2027!

Couples particularly welcome, but individuals encouraged to apply too!

We're looking for a friendly, organised and hands-on person or couple to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Llandyn Caravan & Camping in beautiful Llangollen for our 2027 season.

🏕️ 15 March – 1 November 2027

🏡 Private on-site accommodation, utilities and Wi-Fi included

💷 Fixed weekly management fee of £742 for a couple or £478.50 for an individual

It's a varied, hands-on role involving welcoming guests, managing bookings, maintaining our high standards across the campsite and helping run our shop and milk and coffee vending machines.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is well organised and enjoys working independently. Previous campsite experience is welcome but isn't essential.

We're looking for a Seasonal Campsite Manager to join the team at our sister campsite, Llandyn Caravan & Camping in Llangollen, for the 2027 season.
