Many of our guests have enjoyed the orbital walk. An extension up to the hidden valley would be a great benefit as we have quite a few fit people who walk all the way from here, do the valley and then walk back The idea of a shuttle bus would be fantastic as we have many guests travelling on public transport who miss out on the hidden valley.

The Jacobite has finally made it up to Fort William. Check out their website for ticket availability.

The return of 'The Jacobite' steam train comprised a load of 10 carriages, comprising 2 x POB, Tool van, 7 Mk II’s, all non air con, with a Mk1, converted by WC to a buffet.

(No CDL fitted Mk 1’s have appeared.)

Seen here 1½ miles north of Bridge of Orchy. The weather had been ok until about 10 minutes before it was due and then it slowly went downhill, so the shot is anything but bright.

We’ve had an email from Visit Scotland this morning requesting that we now remove any reference to the QA awards. It’s a shame that they are no longer running the accreditation scheme and have closed their tourist information offices. Apparently visitors now prefer to organise everything on line, I’m not sure I agree. So we will be taking down our plaques and hoping that we won’t need to get the paint out!

We had an early tea at the Kitchen Food Truck today. The sun was shining so we sat on the decking and enjoyed the view while our food was freshly cooked. David had a tasty burger and I had a lovely feta salad. It’s around 5 minutes away in the car or around 2 miles along the cycle track if you fancy an evening stroll. There is also indoor seating where you’ll find a bar. We’ll definitely be paying them another visit soon. It’s nice to have another place we can recommend to our guests.
