What a difference a bit of sunshine makes! ☀️🌿

The birds are singing, the countryside is looking its best, and we’re excited for a busy weekend here at Rose Valley Shepherd’s Hut.

This weekend also sees Macmillan’s Mighty Hike return to the North Coast, bringing hundreds of walkers together to remember loved ones, support one another, and raise funds for a fantastic cause.

We’re especially excited because we’ll be lacing up our walking shoes and taking part ourselves! 💚 It’s a privilege to be part of such a special event and to join so many others in supporting an incredible cause.

We love the wonderful atmosphere the Mighty Hike brings to the area and wish everyone taking part the very best of luck.

Golden hour, salty air, hot coffee and happy kids running on the beach… honestly, evenings like this are what make the North Coast so special ✨🌅

Last night we headed to Ballintoy to watch the sunset — just 5 minutes from Rose Valley Shepherd’s Hut. One of the many breathtaking little spots right on our doorstep. From rugged coastline walks to peaceful beach evenings, there’s always something beautiful waiting nearby.

What a cracking weekend ahead on the North Coast ☀️🌊

The Portrush Raft Race is bringing all the fun to West Strand today — family fun runs, beach activities, lifeboat tours, swims, music, raft racing and plenty of laughs along the shore 🚣‍♂️🏖️
And tomorrow the energy continues with the Marconi 5 mile Run in Ballycastle 🏃‍♂️Makers market at LIR sessions is also taking place on Ballycastle seafront today until Monday.

That’s the thing about the Causeway Coast… there is always something happening. From scenic walks and sea air to community events, coffee stops, markets and sunsets — every weekend brings something different.

Easter may be over, but what a lovely time we’ve had here at Rose Valley Shepherd’s Hut 🐣✨

We were delighted to welcome guests over the Easter break – even if the weather kept us on our toes! But when the sun made an appearance, Rose Valley truly showed off just how special it is 🌞

Today, we took a run out to Portballintrae – and wow… absolutely stunning in the sunshine. The coastline, the fresh sea air, and those views never disappoint. And the best part? It’s only around 7 miles from Rose Valley, making it the perfect quick trip during your stay.

With the brighter days coming in, we’re now looking ahead to the exciting North West 200 🏍️🔥
