No excursion. No strict plans. Just wandering, exploring and soaking up the atmosphere. And Key West ended up being one of our favourite cruise ports.

Honeymoon Series - 22nd May

First port stop: Nassau, Bahamas, a staple for most Caribbean cruises.

One of my favourite things about cruising is getting to experience places you might never otherwise think to visit.

This day included:
🥃 A rum distillery
🥮 Rum cake factory (iykyk, still think about it!)
🌴 Island sightseeing

After a week in Orlando, it was finally time for Jonny’s first cruise 🚢

Honeymoon Series - 21st May

We flew to Miami, boarded Enchantment of the Seas and immediately entered holiday mode, cocktails flowing (the first of MANY lavender daiquiris).

We booked an interior cabin for this sailing because it was only 4 nights and we knew we wouldn’t spend much time in the room anyway — something I still recommend for certain itineraries now.

Would you be happy paying for an ocean view cabin... and getting this?

With so many cabin options across so many cruise lines and ships, it's not enough to just choose an "ocean view" cabin... you need to know exactly what you're booking.

This cabin on P&O Arcadia is a perfect example.

On paper, it's an ocean view cabin. In reality? Your view is largely blocked by a lifeboat. Some people are completely happy with that, especially if they're saving money and simply want natural light. Others would be disappointed the moment they opened the curtains.

Personally, it wouldn't be my first choice.

This is why I spend time checking cabin locations, deck plans and potential obstructions before my clients book. Whether it's a blocked view, a noisy cabin under the pool deck, or a room right beside a busy lift area, the details matter. Some obstructed-view cabins on Arcadia are affected by lifeboats and safety equipment, so it's worth checking exactly what you're getting before you book.

The right cabin for one person can be completely wrong for another.

Controversial opinion: water rides aren't always advised in Orlando!!

Honeymoon Series- 17th May

This day involved: 🌊 getting absolutely drenched in the water rides when it was 100% not warm enough to dry off after... 🛏 going back to the hotel to fully change clothes, via (I will be accepting zero judgement for how many we ate between us!) Then a super chill evening on Universal City walk, playing crazy golf and watching Deadpool 2 at the cinema

One of my favourite things about Orlando holidays is that they don't have to be go-go-go all the time. There's absolutely nothing wrong with planning a pool day or 3 throughout your trip. Some of the best memories are the random little moments in between.

Whether you're a planner or not, I've done Orlando enough times to know how to take the pressure off you so you can focus on the million other things that fall to mums when it comes to holiday planning! My DMs are always open!
