🏡 Introducing… The Folly! 🤣

Our third hut has officially been renamed The Folly — partly because it’s taking SO long to get ready! 😂

And actually, we think the name is rather appropriate… especially as we’re situated on Folly Lane! 🤎

What started as The Drover has become The Folly — after months of groundworks, levelling, fencing, patios, walls, landscaping… and plenty of “it’ll soon be ready!” 🤣

But we promise, there really is light at the end of the tunnel! 👀

The Folly is getting closer… 🛖✨

Watch this space! ❤️

🍂 Autumn has arrived at Craven View… 🍂

The leaves are turning, the evenings are drawing in and our shepherd’s huts are looking especially cosy at this time of year. 🧡

A little update on availability…
✨ October is now fully booked for both The Herdsman & The Journeyman — thank you so much! 🥰

We do have both huts available throughout November and into December, right up until Christmas. 🎄

Perfect for a cosy countryside escape, crisp autumn walks and hopefully a few beautiful sunsets over the Dales. 🍁🐑

And… keep watching this space! 👀

We’ve been very busy behind the scenes, and The Drover is getting ever closer to being ready for guests. We can’t wait to show you more! ❤️

☕💚 Macmillan Coffee Morning at Craven View Shepherd’s Huts 💚☕

It’s happening this morning, and here’s a little glimpse of some of the raffle prizes that have been so kindly donated by our wonderful friends and family, along with some of the baking ready for our coffee morning. 🎂🧁🍰

There’s been a real family effort with the baking — made with love by myself, my Mum, my daughter and my niece. ❤️

Macmillan is a charity that is very close to all our hearts, in memory of and in support of family members, friends, neighbours and colleagues who have been affected by cancer. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated a raffle prize, baked, helped out or supported us in any way. It really does mean so much.

Now… let’s hope there’s plenty of cake left for everyone! 😋☕🍰

⭐️ Now that’s a review we LOVE! ⭐️

They’ve stayed in a few Shepherd's Huts, but after their second visit to Craven View, they’ve told us The Herdsman is their favourite! 🥰

There really is no better compliment than guests choosing to come back — and even better when they tell us we’re their favourite! ❤️

Thank you so much for another wonderful stay. We’ll see you next time! 🏡⛰️

Craven View Shepherds Huts — come for the view, stay for the experience. ❤️

🐾🔥 The perfect place to relax… 🔥🐾

After a long walk around the fells and towpaths of Barnoldswick, even the four-legged guests know where it’s at! 🐶❤️

A cosy spot beside the Esse Garden Stove, under the shelter at The Journeyman, watching the world go by… or perhaps just waiting for someone to share a treat! 🐾😉

We think this is exactly what a Shepherd’s Hut getaway should look like. ❤️

Dogs welcome, cosy evenings guaranteed! 🌿🐕

We must be doing something right! 😊

Our current guests are staying with us for the 10th time – a new record! 🥳

Even more amazingly, another lovely couple will be joining us again in September for their 10th stay too!

Upon arrival our guests thanked us for "creating an amazing getaway." Comments like that, together with guests returning again and again, mean more to us than we can say.

A huge thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, supported us, and recommended us to others. We feel incredibly lucky to share this special place with you and look forward to welcoming you back – whether it's your first visit or your tenth! 🌿🏡✨

Haymaking is in full swing! 🚜🌾

John's been busy baling hay and making the most of the sunshine while it lasts. Everything seemed perfectly normal until he turned up wearing that hat... 🤠😂

We're still undecided whether it's practical farmwear or he's having a mid-life crisis! You can be the judge!

🌸🌿 Summer is starting to bloom around the huts! 🌿🌸

The wildflowers and cottage garden favourites are putting on a lovely display, adding even more colour to the views our guests wake up to each morning. 🌼

We've also popped a freshly picked vase of flowers under the shelter, ready to welcome today's guests. It's the little touches that help make a stay at The Herdsman and The Journeyman feel extra special. 💐

We hope our guests enjoy a relaxing break, taking in the flowers, the countryside views, and a little peace and quiet above the hills. ❤️
