A fabulous little walk close to Fenwick Granary Farm
🌿 St Cuthbert's Cave: One of Northumberland's Most Magical Hidden Walks 🏞️
Tucked away in the Northumberland countryside is a remarkable sandstone cave, surrounded by ancient woodland, towering crags and centuries of history.
Legend has it that monks carrying the body of St Cuthbert sheltered here while fleeing Viking raids over 1,100 years ago.
Today, a circular walk takes you through atmospheric woodland, beneath dramatic sandstone rock faces and out to sweeping countryside views. It feels a world away from the crowds.
