Imagine losing your phone in the park only to find you have a message off Barry Keoghan 🤣 The acting star found a lost iPhone during a walk in Sefton Park and managed to safely return it to its owner.

The 33-year-old Irish actor was enjoying a walk in Sefton Park alongside Liverpool actor Bobby Schofield when the pair spotted the lost phone on the ground.

Rather than walking past, the stars picked up the mobile and filmed a quick video message directly on the device for the owner to find.

The video clip was later shared on social media by local drama school The Dock Studio, showing the pair leaving their note.

In the recording, Barry explained that he was leaving the handset with Bobby, who lives locally, so the owner could track it down.

Bobby then attempted to mock his co-star's strong Irish accent, prompting Barry to joke that it was "a bad Irish accent."

The two actors successfully managed to get the device back to its owner shortly afterwards.

Barry is currently in the city portraying Beatles legend Ringo Starr in Sir Sam Mendes’ upcoming biopics based on the Fab Four.

He previously spoke about how much he enjoys spending time filming in the city where the band's story began.

"We're up in Liverpool filming now so that's a sort of a thing in itself," Barry said.

"The feeling up there and the response up there is beautiful."

The four biopics, which tell the band's story from each individual member's perspective, are set to be released in 2028.

This remarkable sunset over Newcastle was deserving of a 5 minute long exposure. You never quite know what you’re going to get when you do one, but this one really was exactly as I’d hoped it would be.

One thing I’ve learned from running this page is to make up my own mind about a place.

Over the years, people have told me not to bother visiting all sorts of places. Berwick upon Tweed. Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Amble … the list goes on.

And yet, I’ve ended up loving every single one of them.

Every place has its critics, but every place also has people who absolutely love it. That’s why I’ve stopped letting someone else’s negative opinion decide whether somewhere is worth a visit.

I’m so glad I did, because I’d have missed out on some of my favourite places in the North East.

Has there ever been somewhere you nearly didn’t visit because of what other people said… only to end up loving it?

Grainger Street (1902), Louis Hubbard Grimshaw (1870–1944)- this painting is now at the Laing Art Gallery

A wonderfully evocative painting of Grainger Street at the turn of the twentieth century. What do you think of this painting?

This is strangely beautiful.

In Japan, when old machines retire, workers hold small ceremonies to thank them for their years of service. 🇯🇵⚙️

A unique tradition in Japan has captured attention, where workers hold small ceremonies when machines are retired. The practice reflects a deep cultural respect for tools and the role they play in daily work.

Employees gather to show gratitude, recognizing that these machines supported production and livelihoods for many years. It creates a moment of appreciation often missing in modern industries.

This tradition highlights a broader mindset of respect and mindfulness. It reminds people that even objects can hold value beyond their function, shaping a more thoughtful approach to work and life.
