🌿🐶 Last week, a few of our Marketing Team members spent the day volunteering at Battersea.

They got hands-on helping to refresh one of the paddocks – creating a more enriching, calming space for the dogs to explore and enjoy, as well as donating two planters to the garden. It was a successful day supporting a cause close to our hearts and making a real difference alongside such a special partner.

From every booking made with Canine Cottages (our collection of dog-friendly holiday homes), we donate £2 to Battersea’s foster welcome packs. These help dogs settle more comfortably into temporary homes while they wait to find their forever families ❤️

TC Spirit Day 2026 ✨🎉

Last week, we celebrated Spirit Day, our annual event to come together, recognise our company values and acknowledge one another – and this year’s event was truly one to remember.

From our HQ in Devon, Lancaster House in Norfolk, offices across the UK, and those of us working remotely, we tuned in for a day filled with inspiring moments, big celebrations and plenty of TC Spirit.

We heard from our CEO, Jayne McClure, alongside thought-provoking sessions from Christo at The Black Box Approach and our Charity of the Year, Air Ambulances UK – bringing insight, reflection and inspiration to the day.

A huge congratulations to our Spirit Day Award winner, Tess McDonald, who was recognised for her TC Spirit, modelling the company values and the positive impact she has had across the business.

Our first Joy Seeker event ✨

This weekend, holidaycottages.co.uk hosted our very first Joy Seeker event at one of our standout properties, The Secret Escape, in Nottinghamshire: https://bit.ly/4uMiCW1. After months of planning, we welcomed our Joy Seeker, Nate, alongside campaign applicants and a select group of influencers and content creators who all share our love of the great outdoors, for a truly joyful experience!

The event was brought to life with the support of an amazing group of like‑minded partners. Ordnance Survey led our Sherwood Forest walk, complete with personalised maps for every guest, while Belvoir Farm, Pukka Herbs Chococo Chocolates and Circular&Co. helped elevate the experience with delicious refreshments, thoughtful gifting and prizes throughout the day. Merry People kept everyone adventure‑ready with boots and socks, and thanks to the RSPB for supporting our Sherwood Forest location and filming.

It was a brilliant opportunity to showcase one of our larger properties, meet the people behind the Joy Seeker journey, and reach new audiences through social media – with Instagram buzzing and feedback calling the day “pure joy” and “the best day ever.” Catch up on the weekend's events and keep up with Nate, as he travels the UK over the next 12 months: https://bit.ly/4wq6wn5
