Our friends had a very exciting and fun trip into the Gloup in Deerness today. They followed that by catching some po***ck for their tea.
Late availability: 27th June for 7 nights in Newbigging Cottage.
25th July for 7 nights in Kringla 3.

🎉 Summer is here and we’re excited to be out and about! 🎉

The Birsay Whalebone team will be attending several fantastic local events this summer, and we’d love for you to come along and say hello!

Whether you’re joining us at Birsay Fun Day, cheering on runners at the St Magnus Marathon, enjoying the Dounby Show, or spending the day at the County Show, we’ll be there with plenty of smiles, stories, and we’ll have some whalebone merchandise too up for grabs.

Come and visit our stall, have a chat, and see what we’ve been working on. We’d love to see you there!

Watch this clip of Timmy Mallett visiting the Lyness Museum. The flag featured was donated by my Mum and her sisters. When they were children they used it as a tent! It was their uncle George Williamson who cut it down from the Hindenburg.

Cycle Hire

The bike hire for this summer is filling up, pop us a message to reserve your bikes. We offer a delivery and collection service to your accommodation or the airport. From the ferry we advise booking the Sanday bus so they can drop you off and collect you from the shop for the return ferry.
For this year we have new e-bikes as well as standard bikes perfect for the summer ahead.
