Early November is the bit of the year nobody makes plans for. Halloween’s over, Christmas hasn’t started yet, and the weekends are just sitting there...

So use one. The Moorhouse Bothy is free this Friday the 6th to Sunday the 8th of November 🍂

It doesn’t have to be a big occasion or a carefully planned trip. Sometimes it’s nice to have something in the diary that isn’t work, chores or the usual weekend jobs.

Fancy swapping trick or treaters at the door all night for a quiet weekend by the River Nidd? 🎃

The clocks have gone back, the weather has dropped a few hundred degrees, and we’ve got two bothies sitting empty this weekend waiting for someone to light the log burner.

Spend Halloween night with a scary film in Morrell (the only one of our huts with a TV), or stay completely unplugged in Moorhouse with nothing outside the window but golden countryside.

The Moorhouse Bothy and The Morrell Bothy (dog-friendly🐾) are both available this weekend, Fri 30th Oct - Sun 1st Nov, for a two night minimum stay.

One night here and you might forget what day it is 🍂

That's the whole idea behind Haystacks. It’s needed every so often and The Moorhouse Bothy is the perfect place to do it. Full-height windows looking out over open fields, a wood burner for the chill and an interior that doesn’t feel like a hut but a quaint, cosy home.

If a proper reset sounds overdue, The Moorhouse has dates open across the rest of the year 🛖

🕛 Early check-in at 1pm | Arrive earlier, get settled and start relaxing sooner.
🕛 Late check-out at 1pm | Enjoy a slow breakfast, one last walk or another coffee with the view and check out at 1pm.

New Year means different things to different people. Some want a big night out and fireworks, others would rather see it in somewhere quiet with a fire going and nobody else around 🛖

If you're the second kind, we've still got New Years dates open, and Nidderdale on a clear, cold night is about as good a spot as we can think of to see the year out properly🤍

Want to make it a proper celebration? Add our Celebration Package and arrive to Prosecco on ice (or a drink of your choice), cupcakes, a seasonal flower posy, luxury chocolate, balloons and a celebratory banner. It's £50 for two, and it's perfect for making the end of the year that bit more special.

You don't need to know anything about sheep to love a Shepherd’s Hut 🤍

Ours come with a wood burner, a hand-built oak table just big enough for two, and a private wood-fired bath tub outside the door. Perfect autumnal escape? We think so too…

There's no telly in a Shepherd's Hut, and not much phone signal either, although WiFi is available should you want it. What there is: a cosy nook in your own part of the Nidderdale countryside.

Some places give you a spa day. We give you unmatched peace and quiet, a stunning countryside backdrop and complete disconnection 💆🏼‍♀️
