The Cross Keys at Eastgate is an early 17th century Weardale Inn set in the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We're a family run pub and serve real ale, fine wines, and anything else you could wish for - with a big friendly smile. We're also an official stamping point on the C2C route. Unwind in the main bar or toast your toes next to the fire on a cold day after you've been walking in the local beautiful countryside. We serve local and fresh food in our bar and restaurant. If you have a four legged friend they are more than welcome in the bar with well behaved owners ;-)

If you choose to stay with us, we can offer you Bed & Breakfast in our newly refurbished rooms. Parking is ample. Whatever your need, we hope you'll visit and relax with us soon.

Well what a great day yesterday. It was our 2nd darts competition in the year for 16's and under. Thank you to Catherine Tunstall and Claire Wearmouth for running the competition. Thank you to our 1st class raffle ticket sellers Lucy and friend ( sorry i didn't catch your name). Thank you to our markers and of course to the kids for turning out. There were some brilliant darts, high scores, great finishes and a brilliant atmosphere, just what we all need. Also thank you parents for bringing your kids and drinking lol.
16's and under WINNER Jamie Peart with Alfie Lee runner up. 12's and under WINNER Henry Brace and runner up Ethan Hodgson, all played brilliant darts.

Our fish fry-day will no longer be available with a free pint unfortunately. As many of you will know the price of fish has gone through the roof, along with everything else.
Our price of fish has doubled in price this last 6 months.
So it is with great sadness and regret that we can no longer offer you a free pint.
We still hope to see you for your fish and chips as we havent put the price of the fish up, just taken the free pint off. Im sure lots of you will understand.
