Blackpool has been named on the longlist for UK City of Culture 2029. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase what makes our town unique while helping shape a vision for the future of Blackpool.

The bid team brings together Blackpool’s major cultural organisations, independent creatives, Blackpool Council, key businesses and tourism bodies.

We’ve written a short survey to gather your experiences and views to feed into the bid. Your feedback will help us understand what culture means to people locally, what matters most, and how it can benefit residents, communities, and businesses.

NEW ATTRACTION ALERT!

A unique photo experience that defies gravity!

Councillors have given permission for a Brand new attraction in Blackpool.

Situated near South Pier will be the upside down house.

The new attraction will be a two-storey structure which is designed to appear to be upside down on its roof. Inside there will be selfie opportunities such as a bed appearing to be on the ceiling.

The house will have wheelchair friendly pathways, allowing ease of access into the house

The house will be finished in ‘Ocean Blue’ colour, which compliments South Pier and the adjoining Sandcastle
