It gets more tricky at this time of year, but there’s still plenty of colour in our garden and I like to put fresh flowers in the rooms for all of our guests.

Meet some of our special residents at Craigellie.

Our hens are a little bit of a highlight - especially for our younger (and not so young) guests, who love coming to visit them and collecting their eggs.

Of course the eggs are also a highlight on the breakfast table - poached, scrambled, fried, boiled, omelettes and in the kedgeree.

Animals, fresh air and proper food - it’s what we do best in the countryside.

Step out of our front gate and within minutes you’re in the Den of Alyth - a gorgeous wooded gorge with a burn running through it, right on our doorstep.

It’s one of those places that makes you breathe out properly. Perfect for a morning stroll before breakfast, or an evening wander after a day exploring Perthshire.
