Once part of the aviary when Beatrix Potter’s mother lived here, it’s now one of our thoughtfully designed accessible rooms — warm, spacious, and filled with soft furnishings featuring delicate bird details as a gentle nod to its past. A peaceful ground‑floor retreat for a truly relaxing stay.

Today we mark 15 years of Clare being Clare and being part of the team at Lindeth Howe and we wouldn't swap her for anything!

Clare has been a consistent presence through many seasons of the hotel, and her long service is a great example of the stability within our management team. Having people who stay, grow, and stick with the place makes a real difference to how smoothly things run day to day.

Thanks, Clare, for your 15 years with us, nope, of course you don't look a day older than when you started with us!

With Kids Go Free during the school holidays, it’s the perfect chance to treat your little ones to a break filled with fresh air, freedom, and fun.
Six acres of gardens with gentle slopes for rolling down (not that we have done it!!) bikes allowed in your room or hire them for delivery and collection from the hotel so you don't have the absolute nightmare of trying to figure out the bike rack which you bought in a moment of madness but have never used becuase the straps quite frankly confuse the life out of you! (WWe get it!!)
Not to mention we have a children’s menu that gets big smiles every time.
