🐑 A little friendly competition at Church Farm! 🏆

Our guests enjoyed a competitive Sheep Herding session this weekend, and it looked like great fun!

Expect plenty of laughs and a bit of friendly rivalry

Meet Mary! 👋🌿

Mary will have been part of the Church Farm team for an incredible 20 years next March! 🎉

Mary first started at Church Farm after being roped into helping with a day of housekeeping by one of her neighbours. One day turned into more regular work… and somehow, 20 years later, she’s still here!

One of the things Mary loves most about working at Church Farm is doing it alongside her friends. She also really enjoys meeting our lovely, happy guests!

For Mary, Church Farm is a happy place to work.

You’ll often find her taking charge of cleaning the kitchens, and when asked about her most satisfying job, it was defrosting the freezers! 😂

We’re so lucky to have Mary as part of our team

✨ The Longleat Festival of Light is returning! ✨

One of our favourite signs that Christmas is on its way… 🎄

Longleat’s Festival of Light is back this winter (7th Nov - 10th Jan), bringing the grounds to life with thousands of twinkling lights and incredible displays. It’s such a magical day/evening out, especially with little ones. ❤️

The theme this year is Legendary Worlds

And the best bit? Longleat is only a short drive from Church Farm.

So if you’re looking for a festive countryside getaway this winter, you could combine a cosy stay at the farm with an evening at the Festival of Light. 🏡✨

It's all greening up again! 🌿

It’s lovely to see our cottages courtyard finally greening up after a heatwave. Grass is growing and leaves are filling out again 💚

We have some good availability for autumn stays from Mon 21st Sept into October and Half Term; the perfect time to escape. Think country walks, hot chocolates, a great book to read

A little bit of racing life on our doorstep…

Last weekend we popped over to our neighbour Neil Mulholland’s racing yard as part of National Racing Week

We headed out onto the gallops and watched the horses being put through their paces, both on the flat and over the jumps. Afterwards, we had the chance to wander around the yard, meet some of the horses and chat to the team.

It was such a lovely morning and great to get a little glimpse into the world of racehorse training

One of the things we love about Church Farm is being surrounded by so much countryside and farm life.

If you're staying with us, there’s a public footpath which crosses the horses’ track, so keep your eyes peeled — you might spot them training!

They’re usually out early though… so set that alarm! ⏰😉
