🐶 REACTIVE & ANXIOUS DOG OWNERS 🐶
We completely understand how difficult holidays can feel when you have a reactive or anxious dog. ❤️
Many of our guests stay with us for exactly the same reasons. We regularly welcome nervous dogs, reactive dogs, older dogs and dogs recovering from illness or trauma, so we’ve tried very hard to create an environment that feels calm, spacious and low stress.
Because we’re tucked away in the Brechfa Forest hills, it’s naturally much quieter than many traditional “dog friendly” holiday destinations where dogs are everywhere. The woodland tracks are vast and peaceful, and because there are so many routes, it’s usually very easy to avoid other walkers if needed.
For dog friendly beaches, the ones we recommend are usually much quieter than most all year around.
For woodland walks, it’s usually incredibly quiet here year-round. Even in summer, the forest can still feel wonderfully calm compared to busier tourist areas.
All three cottages have direct access to walks from the door, so you don’t need to load up the car just to have a stress-free wander.

Our guests absolutely love it because it means you can enjoy the space completely privately without worrying about other dogs appearing unexpectedly. Many reactive dog owners tell us it becomes their dog’s favourite part of the holiday! 😊
