If you were thinking of joining us for lunch this week....

We're going to take a bit of the heat out of the kitchens for very obvious reasons: our lunch menus for Tuesday - Thursday will consist of cold items only. It makes sense, it's probably what you'll feel like anyway and it gives the team a chance to stretch their legs on some different dishes.

Drinks will also be cold and our ice machines are working.

The countdown to Hay Festival is officially on, with less than two weeks to go. Have you got your tickets yet?

A reminder that The Felin Fach Griffin is open all day, every day throughout the festival fortnight, for breakfast, lunch and supper from 5pm and we’re just a 15 minute drive from the festival site.

It’s The Griffin at its buzziest, brightest and best. Exactly what we want it to be.

Join the FFG team, we are on the look out for a Full-time Senior Sous Chef.

Spring is (finally) on the way, the hills are looking smugly beautiful again, and our kitchen team is growing. Our Head Chef, Gwen Davies, is on the lookout for a seriously good Senior Sous Chef to join the brigade at The Felin Fach Griffin.

You’ll be the right hand to Gwen, helping lead the kitchen, keeping standards high, and making sure every plate that leaves the pass is something to be proud of. The Felin Fach Griffin isn’t just a workplace it’s a proper team. We care about what we cook, how we work, and the people we work with. No egos, no nonsense just good food, good people, and a kitchen you’ll actually enjoy being part of.

Start date: May 2026 Pay: Salary of £39,250 + tips, pro rata to the number of hours worked
Hours: 48 Hours over 5 days per week (2 consecutive days off) to include evenings and weekends.

Hay Festival 2026 is less than a month away, we can’t wait to welcome you to The Felin Fach Griffin. We’re a short 15 minute drive from the festival site, so perfect for pre or post event eating.

Here’s a reminder of our opening hours so you can plan a visit to The Griffin.

We are open daily.
🍽️Lunch 12 noon - 2.15pm (Sunday 12:00 - 15:00)
🍽️Snack menu 3pm-6pm
🍽️Supper from 5pm - 9.15pm (from 6pm on Sunday)
