Beautiful Beverley is right on the doorstep for us here at Bridlington and is always a lovely day out, rain or shine.

We had a wander through the market square, browsed the little streets and shops and stopped for a Cornish pasty...as you do! We tested out a pint in one of the many quaint little pubs before heading to the Minster, which really is a sight to behold! It is free to visit or you can leave a donation and you can even help yourself to a complimentary cuppa whilst admiring the view.

We wandered over the railway bridge to Flemingate shopping centre where the adults browsed and the kids burnt off some steam in the great little play park before heading home.

If you haven't been before we'd definitely recommend popping on a Saturday to catch the all day market which is great. You can also park in the Tesco car park for 3 hours for free.

Even Storm Boelo didn't stop us getting a dose of fresh air on Monday. We had to go explore as you could hear the sea rumble all the way from the chalet! Had a lovely rainy walk on the prom teamed with a pit stop for chips with proper curry at Richies Bar. We watched the huge waves & boats bobbing around from the windows in Harbour Tavern and took full advantage of the red hot radiators to dry us out ready for the trip back, followed by a well earned sit down and a belly full of slow cooker stew!

⛱️ Nothing beats a bit of coastal fresh air!

There’s nothing better to recharge your batteries than a lovely walk along Fraisthorpe Beach, followed by a pit stop at The Cow Shed Cafe & Takeaway at Fraisthorpe Beach for a cuppa and a slice of cake! 🍰☕

J, O and their cousins loved wandering through the dunes, taking in the fresh sea air and enjoying everything our beautiful Bridlington coast has to offer. 🌊

Sometimes it’s the simple things that make you feel refreshed and ready to take on the world again! 🥰
