🌱 Did you know that Coppet Hill is a working farm, not just a camping and glamping site.

In this reel, Pippa talks about one small part of what happens behind the scenes throughout the year.

Almost all of our fields are part of the Government’s Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme, which supports farmers in managing the land for nature, soil health and biodiversity.

A big part of our work involves recording what’s happening in each field - what’s growing and our farming activities. We regularly capture evidence and monitor progress to make sure we’re meeting the scheme’s requirements and caring for the land in the best possible way.

So while guests may see beautiful views and peaceful countryside, there’s a lot of work happening beyond the campsite too.

🦋 Meet the Moths of Dorset 🦋
Coppet Hill Moth Club, Sunday 21st June

Did you know that Dorset is home to hundreds of species of moths, from tiny micro-moths to spectacular giants with wingspans larger than your hand?
Often overlooked, moths are vital pollinators and an important food source for birds, bats, and other wildlife. Many are every bit as colourful and fascinating as butterflies.

Join us at our Moth Club Breakfast on 21st June to get a closer look at some of the beautiful moths found right here at Coppet Hill.
Over a delicious breakfast, we’ll reveal the moths collected overnight and learn more about these remarkable creatures.

After breakfast join Farmer George on a tractor trailer ride through the farm to see what we plant that attracts these amazing pollinators.

🌾🚜 What a day! Open Farm Sunday 2026 at Coppet Hill 🚜🌾

We were delighted to welcome over 1,100 visitors through our farm gates for this year’s Open Farm Sunday.

From learning about farming and food production to seeing the silage-making operation in full swing, it was fantastic to share what we do and why it matters. The silage-making demonstrations were a real highlight and a huge success, giving visitors a chance to see modern farming in action.

Thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, explored the farm and supported our local produce.

Events like this help connect people with farming, the countryside and the journey from field to fork. Thank you to our volunteers, exhibitors, partners and everyone who helped make the day such a success.
And of course it would not have been possible without the support of and

A May recap - what an amazing month!
We had over double the number of guests compared to this time last year (the sun definitely helped!) and the flowers are really coming out now. The fields have had their first cut and it won’t be long for their second, and we’ve been gearing up for Open Farm Sunday this weekend.

Our campers and glampers have enjoyed endless sunsets and warm sunrises, 3 moth clubs and lots of tractor trailer rides, fresh eggs from our chickens, freshly cut flowers from our cut flower patch, delicious BBQs with local food and drink and daily trips to the many nearby beaches.

We can’t wait to see what June brings us!
