A beautiful sight after the showers — it felt as though the rainbow was gently protecting us from the rain.

There is something very special about those quiet countryside moments when the sky clears, the colours appear, and Dorset reminds us just how magical it can be. ✨

A hang glider soaring high above the Jurassic Coast — what a fantastic sight and a perfect reminder of just how beautiful this part of Dorset is from every angle.

Not quite our usual guest arrival method… but definitely one with a view! 🪂🌊

A special anniversary treat at The Farmhouse Kitchen, Yarlington 🥂

We enjoyed a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary, and even had a very friendly Plymouth Rock chicken join us for company! 🐔

Beautiful food, a lovely setting and a little bit of countryside charm — a perfect way to celebrate. ❤️

🪁 Dorchester Kite Festival – Saturday 6th June 2026

A brand-new festival is coming to Dorchester this June!

Let’s Go Fly! Kite Festival will be held on The Great Field, Dorchester, from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday 6th June 2026.

Organised by Dorchester Town Council with White Horse Kite Flyers, this promises to be a colourful and spectacular day out for all ages. The organisers are experienced, insured and members of the British Kite Flying Association, so visitors can look forward to a safe, well-run and impressive event.

A lovely day trip from Graston Farm Cottages, perfect for families and anyone looking for something a little different in June.
