⭐ Meet the Team Monday ⭐

This week we’d like to introduce one of our wonderful team members, Tilly Pyper!

Tilly is 18 years old and has been part of the Haddon House family for the past 3 years. Having lived in Beaminster all her life, she brings a friendly smile and positive energy to every shift.

When she’s not at Haddon House, Tilly enjoys playing netball, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family.

🍝 Favourite foods?
Tilly loves pasta dishes, hearty meat dishes and classic British favourites, although she says working at Haddon House has encouraged her to be much more adventurous when it comes to trying new foods!

When asked what she enjoys most about working here, Tilly said:

“I’ve loved the time I’ve spent at Haddon House working with wonderful, creative people. Everyone is bright and supportive, and seeing our regulars pop in weekly makes the job that little bit extra special and welcoming.”

🌞 We’ve Been a Little Quiet… 🌞

Firstly, we’d like to apologise for being a little quiet on Facebook over the last couple of weeks!

The start of the season has certainly kept us on our toes here at Haddon House Hotel, and we’ve been busy welcoming guests, serving breakfasts, lunches and dinners, and making sure everyone enjoys their stay in beautiful West Bay.

As much as we love sharing updates, sometimes looking after our wonderful guests has to come first!

We’re looking forward to getting back to posting more regularly, sharing behind-the-scenes moments, hotel updates, local recommendations, and everything happening here at Haddon House.

🌿 Best Walk in West Bay? We Think We’ve Found It! 🌿

If you’re visiting West Bay and fancy stretching your legs, one of our favourite walks is the route from West Bay to Burton Bradstock and back along the coast path.

Starting at the harbour, the walk takes you through beautiful countryside before joining the stunning Jurassic Coast. Along the way you’ll enjoy breathtaking views across Lyme Bay, dramatic cliffs, rolling countryside and, on a clear day, views stretching for miles. The circular route is around 5 miles and is suitable for most walkers.

Don’t forget your camera 📸 – the views are some of the best in Dorset!

After your walk, why not reward yourself with a delicious lunch, homemade cake or a refreshing drink here at Haddon House Hotel? ☕🍰

This week we’d like to introduce you to Becky, our wonderful Second Chef here at Haddon House Hotel.

Becky plays a vital role in our kitchen, helping to prepare the delicious meals our guests enjoy throughout their stay. From hearty breakfasts to tasty evening meals, Becky works hard behind the scenes to ensure everything is prepared to the highest standard.

Her passion for food, dedication, and teamwork make her a valued member of the Haddon House family, and we’re lucky to have her as part of our team.

🌟 Meet the Team Monday – Gavin, Our Head Chef 🌟

This week we’d like to introduce you to our fantastic Head Chef, Gavin. 👨‍🍳

Gavin has been part of the Haddon House Hotel family for an incredible 18 years, and with 26 years of cheffing experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to our kitchen every single day.

After studying at Weymouth College, where he achieved both his Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Catering, Gavin went on to work at well-known local establishments including Palmers Wine Bar and The George in West Bay before joining us here at Haddon House.

Although Gavin was born in Bradford, he moved to Dorset at the age of 8 and proudly considers himself a local Dorset lad. ❤️

His favourite dishes to prepare are fresh local fish dishes, making the most of the fantastic produce available right here on our doorstep along the Jurassic Coast. 🐟

Anyone who has worked with Gavin will tell you that he has strong morals, a great work ethic, and is a true team player. He is always willing to help others and takes great pride in delivering quality food for our guests. Outside of work, Gavin is a family man who is incredibly close to his family and friends.

We’re very lucky to have him leading our kitchen and helping make Haddon House Hotel what it is today.

The role will include:
✅ Greeting and serving guests
✅ Checking guests in and out
✅ Taking bookings and handling some computer work
✅ Providing excellent customer service
✅ Working as part of a friendly team

📅 Must be available to work weekdays and weekends.
