Big enough for the whole crew, close enough to wander into Brixham. 🌊

Anne’s Cottage is a beautifully refurbished four-bedroom townhouse made for family holidays, group escapes and weekends by the South Devon coast.

Inside, there’s plenty of room to spread out, with a comfortable sitting room, a bright open-plan kitchen and dining space, and flexible sleeping arrangements across four bedrooms. With a super-king that can be split into twins, bunk beds, a double, two singles and an optional sofa bed, the house can sleep up to ten guests.

It’s family-friendly too, with a travel cot, highchair, integrated stair gates, games and books, while dogs are welcome as well.
Outside, the sunny front terrace is perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink, and when you’re ready to head out, Brixham Harbour, the marina, independent shops, cafés, restaurants and coastal walks are all within easy reach.

A very handy South Devon base for bringing everyone together. 🤍

Save this one for when you’re like; ‘what shall we do today?’ 🌫️🌿

Snapes Point, near Salcombe in South Devon, is one of those walks that proves you don’t need to go far for a seriously good view.

The National Trust route is a gentle one-mile walk through the South Hams countryside, following an old carriageway past fields and along Batson Creek before climbing up to a viewpoint over Salcombe and the Kingsbridge Estuary.

From the top, you get panoramic views stretching from Kingsbridge towards the mouth of the estuary beyond Salcombe, with rolling countryside, water and big Devon skies in every direction.

It’s an easy route too, taking around 30–40 minutes, so it’s perfect for a slower afternoon walk, particularly when September brings that slightly moodier light to the South Devon landscape.

One to save for your next South Devon escape. 🤍

Some views are better from hot water. ♨️🌿

There’s something about a Devon escape with a hot tub that makes the whole weekend feel slower. Long countryside walks, sea air, quiet villages, then back somewhere warm to sit outside while the temperature drops around you.

We’ve picked out a few Devon stays where the hot tub is very much part of the appeal, from peaceful rural hideaways to cottages made for unwinding after a day exploring the coast and countryside.

And this is only a small selection.

✨ New to our portfolio 🌊

Old Mill Rest is a charming two-bedroom cottage tucked away within easy reach of the harbour, marina, beaches, shops and some very good places to eat.

Inside, it’s comfortable and easy-going, with a cosy sitting room, a well-equipped kitchen, flexible sleeping for couples, friends or a small family, and plenty of space to settle in after a day by the coast.

Outside, there’s a private courtyard terrace for morning coffee or an evening drink, plus allocated parking, which is always a welcome bonus in Brixham.

From here, you can wander down to the working harbour, follow the South West Coast Path towards Berry Head, take a dip at Shoalstone Pool or spend the day exploring the English Riviera.

A very handy little hideaway for doing Brixham properly. 🤍

🌊🌿 From wild moorland and hidden waterfalls to colourful fishing towns and some of the loveliest stretches of the South Devon coast, consider this a starting point for your Devon bucket list…

📍 Dartmoor - Miles of open moorland, granite tors, wooded valleys and those famous Dartmoor ponies. Come for the walking, stay for the feeling that you’ve somehow ended up miles from everything.

📍 Torquay - The heart of the English Riviera, with palm-lined promenades, sandy beaches, a bustling marina and plenty of places to stop for something good overlooking the water.

📍 Belstone - A tiny Dartmoor village surrounded by spectacular countryside. From here, walking trails lead straight onto the moor towards Belstone Tor, with far-reaching views and plenty of wild Devon landscape along the way.

📍 Lynmouth - Where Exmoor meets the sea. This beautiful harbour village sits beneath dramatic wooded cliffs, with the historic cliff railway connecting it to Lynton above.

📍 Dartmouth - Colourful houses climbing the hillside, boats bobbing on the River Dart and narrow streets filled with independent shops, cafés and restaurants. One of those places made for wandering without much of a plan.

📍 Brixham - a proper working fishing town on the English Riviera, known for its colourful harbour, seafood and maritime history. Follow the coast path for some particularly lovely views across Tor Bay.

📍 Salcombe - Turquoise water, little coves and sailing boats around almost every corner. Salcombe sits within the South Devon National Landscape and makes a rather convincing case for spending the whole day beside the water.

📍 Lydford Gorge - wonderfully wild corner of Devon, home to a deep wooded gorge, rushing river and the spectacular Whitelady Waterfall. One for walking boots rather than flip-flops.

How many have you been to so far? 🤍

Hot tubs, heated pools and bubble baths to name a few.

… as it happens, they can all be found on Gitcombe Estate in Cornworthy (near Dartmouth).

From cosy stone-built hideaways to a grand Georgian manor house, we can think of worse ways to welcome autumn 🍂
