🚜 Standing with Our Farming Community
Rowden Abbey has always been part of Herefordshire’s rural and farming heartland, and today we stand alongside the many farmers who have travelled to London to make their voices heard.
A large tractor protest had been planned in Whitehall, but last-minute changes from the Metropolitan Police have caused significant disruption — with farmers arriving from across the UK only to face new restrictions, confusion, and vehicle checks. Despite this, tractors continue to arrive, and the farming community is determined to raise concerns about how proposed changes could impact family farms and the future of British agriculture.
Whatever the politics of the day, one thing is clear:
Herefordshire’s farming community is the backbone of our countryside, our food supply, and our local economy.
We recognise the pressures farmers are under, and we stand with them in their right to be heard safely and respectfully.
