The stumps of three large trees have been causing us problems for fencing in our goats for the last 2years. The wet land and stream have prevented access with a machine with the power to move them, and their precarious positioning on a steep bank has made any attempt to saw them up, to dangerous.

The dry weather with all its negative impacts gave one positive outcome today. We managed to get a large tracked bulldozer near enough to pull them out and drag them up the opposite bank, where they can safely be cut up and removed.
It will also allow the bank to heal with new growth already in evidence.
