Looking out across Bude Bay and south along the North Cornwall coast this evening… absolutely stunning. 🌊

The summer holidays might be behind us, but evenings like this are a good reminder that September can be one of the nicest times to visit Cornwall.

It’s quieter, the roads and beaches have calmed down, and there are still plenty of campervans and motorhomes out there making the most of the season. 🚐

We’re nearing the end of our 2026 season, but we still have availability for anyone travelling through Bude and fancying a peaceful pitch with a view like this.

☀️ MAKING THE MOST OF SEPTEMBER AT MOUNT PLEASANT CAMPING! 🚐⛺️

What a difference a few days can make! After the wet and windy Bank Holiday weekend, today has given us beautiful blue skies, sunshine and a fantastic view across to the coast. 🌊☀️

We’re now nearing the end of our 2026 camping season, so if you’re still out on your travels, why not grab the chance to stay with us before we close the gates for the winter?

With the children back at school and things starting to quieten down, it’s a lovely time of year for couples, campervans and motorhomes to enjoy Bude and the North Cornwall coast without the summer holiday crowds.

🌧️ THE CAMPERS ARE STILL CAMPING! ⛺️🚐

Well, it’s fair to say the weather hasn’t exactly been kind to us for the last Bank Holiday weekend of the summer! 😂

But you’ve got to admire our hardy campers! As you can see, we’ve still got tents, campervans and motorhomes on the field, and despite the increasingly wet forecast, bookings are still coming in.

For all the weather watchers out there, Mount Pleasant is actually a fantastic spot to watch the weather systems rolling in off the Atlantic. You might not get a blue-sky sea view this weekend… but you’ll certainly get a view! 🌊🌧️

Bude Lifeboat Day is on tomorrow, with activities taking place in Bude, so there’s still plenty going on.

And if anyone fancies joining our hardy bunch, we still have availability tonight:

We’ve just had a cancellation, which means Electric Grass Pitch 1 is now available from TODAY for up to 4 nights, through until Monday!

So if you’ve been looking for somewhere to stay in Bude over the last weekend before the children head back to school, this could be the perfect chance to squeeze in one last camping trip. 😊

Due to a last-minute cancellation, Electric Grass Pitch 2 has unexpectedly become available from today for up to 3 nights at Mount Pleasant Camping, Bude.

You don’t have to stay for all three nights – whether you’re looking for a one-night stopover, a couple of nights or the full three, you’re very welcome.

Perfect if you’re already out and about in your campervan or motorhome, or just fancy a spontaneous few days on the North Cornwall coast.

We’re nearly full again tomorrow night, but we still have Pitch 6 – non-electric grass pitch available for Saturday night only.

So if you’re looking for a last-minute night away or a stopover in Bude, there’s still time to come and enjoy the views and a peaceful evening at Mount Pleasant Camping. 🌊🌅

From Sunday onwards we have a little more availability, including both electric and non-electric pitches, as we head towards the August Bank Holiday weekend.

And if you’re thinking about joining us over the Bank Holiday, Bude Lifeboat Day is on Monday 31st August. There’s a whole day of activities around Bude, including live music, rowing, the duck race, food, bars and plenty more, finishing with the grand firework display at 9.10pm. 🎆

You can head into Bude to watch the fireworks from around the canal and surrounding areas – or, if the weather is clear, you can actually see the display in the distance from our campsite. 😊

We’re only a small site with 10 pitches, so if you’re thinking of staying with us over the Bank Holiday, it’s worth getting booked in while we still have availability.
