📍 TJ's Bar & Kitchen | Bude, Cornwall

🏡 LIVE-IN OPPORTUNITY POSSIBLE!

We're on the lookout for a strong, experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at TJ's Bar & Kitchen, just a stone's throw from Crooklets Beach!

We're looking for someone who knows their way around a busy kitchen, can lead from the front and isn't afraid to get stuck in.

This isn't just about being a good cook — we need someone who can help run the kitchen, motivate the team and maintain high standards.

👨‍🍳 What we're looking for:

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a strong CDP ready to step up

Confidence running a busy kitchen and leading a team

A passion for great food and consistency

Excellent organisation and communication

A positive attitude and a strong work ethic

🍻 What we offer:

💰 Competitive pay, depending on experience

💸 Share of tips

🏡 Live-in accommodation potentially available

🍔 Free staff meals

🍺 30% staff discount across both our venues

🌊 Fantastic location by the beach in Bude

📈 Opportunity to grow and develop within the business

B**r and Pizza Day
• Date: October 9 (Friday in 2026, Saturday in 2027) • Purpose: Celebrates the classic, highly popular pairing of pizza and b**r. •
Why the Pairing Works (The Science)
• Carbonation: The bubbles and fizz in b**r help clean your palate after a bite of food.
• Malt and Hops: The sweet malt balances tomato sauce, while bitter hops cut through rich, salty cheese.
