What a gorgeous morning for an early spin on the bike ☀️

We are lucky to be surrounded by so many cycling opportunities in our wee corner of Moray. From road cycling, mountain & gravel biking to simply making use of the cycle track running from Duffus to Burghead, via Hopeman, there really is something to suit every type of cyclist 🚴

Tennis with a civilised refreshment break this evening 😉🍷🎾

To be honest, we very rarely get the time to play - this was only the second time since we opened the court for the season in April.

Our grass court is free for our guests & those in our local community to enjoy. It’s all very relaxed - just turn up & play.

🏕️ After 2 whole years of jumping through more hoops than we care to think about, we finally reached the stage where we could break ground on our campsite in July 2024! 😅

🏕️ We were so excited to see the big machinery arrive! We chose local company, GDC Groundworks who were fantastic to work with - they were on site for many months & worked through every weather 🙏

🏕️ We had hoped we would be able to open in summer 2025…however, when you start a big project you can never fully predict what issues you’re going to face.

🏕️ Back then, having already been working on the project for 2 years, little did we know it would take a further 2 years of blood, sweat & tears (the tears were mainly mine 😂) before we were able to open this summer!

🏕️ It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come! Our new site is getting busier each week & it’s fabulous seeing guests enjoying what makes Duffus Estate so special 💚

Well that was a blustery night wasn’t it?! 💨

To be honest, the wind can do a runner, but we desperately need the rain, especially over in the Cairngorms 🔥🙏💦- who knew we’d be praying for rain in the middle of the summer holidays?!

If you need a strong brew to wake you up this morning, The Koffie Box at Duffus House is open 9-3 Sat & Sun ☕️🤩🍰

Never a dull moment here 😂

Last night we were super excited to welcome Lightening McQueen onto the campsite! 🤩🏎️🏁

It’s owned by a small child bereavement charity called ‘JB and ME’, which is based in Devon. They travel with Lightning McQueen to bring to joy to families in the darkest of times ❤️‍🩹

They were heading through to Inverness today before travelling to Northern Ireland.

Still my favourite local beach 💙

We are blessed to have many quiet, sandy beaches on our doorstep here at Duffus. They are all lovely, but Covesea always comes out top for me 🌊
