The Fence Gate Nestled at the foot of Pendle Hill, in beautiful Lancashire countryside, bordering the Ribble Valley That means “quality is a way of life”.

The Fence Gate has a motto on its coat of arms - Qualitas Modum Vitae Est. Because this historic 18th century building overlooking scenic Lancashire countryside is not just for meeting and eating. The award-winning country inn is for relaxing or celebrating in a traditional rural atmosphere with real ales, an open fire and a commitment to your enjoyment – whether that’s in the bar, the contemporary brasserie or the two private function rooms for special occasions.
