Volunteering is at the centre of local community’s lives whether it be setting up local community foodbanks, clothing banks, responding to local and international disasters or helping to raise funds

for a specific need, there is a project or activity to suit everyone. By volunteering with Rotary, you know that you will be changing people’s lives for the better. Being part of Rotary is more than just giving back to the community by volunteering. It is also about you bringing your skills, experience and enthusiasm to help it thrive, whilst making some great friends along the way. Our club is a friendly place who invites speakers from a wide range of backgrounds to share their knowledge, our members also share a common interest in friendship and if you visit any of the other clubs around Great Britain and Ireland you will immediately feel the sense of camaraderie and fun. Share Skills by Volunteering for Rotary
Volunteering with Rotary could be the most important thing you ever do. Your skills and experience are invaluable in our drive to help communities at home and around the world through our volunteer work. Whether you become a member of Rotary or volunteer your time and abilities to your local club, you will be helping to make people’s lives better. Get Involved:
We work with local schools promoting wellbeing by involving the primary school children in our award winning Rotary Rambles, encouraging map reading, and other skills associated with outdoors. We are in close contact with our local schools, running annual Burns competitions, involving the children in the Rotary annual primary school quiz and running a Rotakids club within the schools. There are many ways to get involved with Rotary:
You could join us and open up a world of opportunities. You could volunteer to speak at a club about a cause or interest
If you are a school pupil, you could take part in a Rotary competition
You could volunteer to help the club in one of its initiatives, without becoming a Rotary member
If Rotary sounds like the organisation for you and you feel like volunteering some of your spare time, we’d like to hear from you! Simply visit our website at www.Burntisland.rotary1010.org and send a message to our secretary David, or join us at one of our meetings on Tuesday 6.45 pm for about 1 hour at The Sands Hotel, Burntisland.
