💚 Member Spotlight: Maggie & Michele's Camino Challenge 💚

This month we're celebrating Maggie Weatherall and Michele Roberts, who recently completed the Camino de Santiago, walking an average of 27km a day for six days in memory of Maggie's late husband, Darren, while raising money for Prevent Breast Cancer.

Together with their group, they smashed their fundraising target, raising an incredible £25,000 for charity.

From 30°C heat to thunderstorms, it was a challenging journey, but one filled with friendship, determination and some unforgettable moments along the way.

A huge congratulations to Maggie and Michele on an amazing achievement. 👏

🏅 Member Spotlight Success Story 🏅

A few weeks ago, we introduced our very first Member Spotlight featuring long-standing Stables member Tina Morris, who was selected to represent Great Britain as part of the GB Blind Sailing Team at the World Sailing Inclusion Championships.

We're delighted to share that our amazing members raised an incredible £455 to support Tina and the team, and The Stables was proud to match this amount pound-for-pound, taking the total contribution to £910. 💚

But the good news doesn't stop there...

Tina has returned from Portugal with an incredible Gold Medal in her sight category and a Bronze Medal overall! 🥇🥉

In Tina's words:

"We got a bronze medal as 3rd overall and also a gold as 1st in my sight category! Absolutely chuffed to bits."

We couldn't be prouder of Tina's achievements and we're honoured to have played a small part in supporting her journey.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser and wished Tina well. This is exactly what makes The Stables such a special community.

Tina has recently been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Sailing Inclusion Championships in Portugal as part of the GB Blind Sailing Team.

Being selected to represent Great Britain is an opportunity I'm incredibly proud of, and I'm grateful to be part of such a supportive community. I look forward to taking The Stables' support with me to Portugal and representing both my team and our club as proudly as I can."
