A great effort by all involved to ensure the route from Portballintrae to Bushmills is looking its best. Your hard work and commitment are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.

GOLI welcome apology from BBC.

The Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland welcomes the apology issued by the BBC to Goldsprings LOL 1037 and commends the determination of its members and local political representatives to see the facts of this matter correctly reported.

When challenged by Grand Lodge Officers, BBC Northern Ireland staff defended their position and reporting of the issue and, unlike other media outlets, did not offer an apology.

It is clear however that the BBC Executive Complaints Unit in London have taken a different view and have recognised that the reporting fell short of their own editorial guidelines.

All organisations are rightly subject to media scrutiny, and thanks to the Glorious Revolution of 1688, our press enjoy an uncommon degree of freedom to do so. However, with that freedom comes the responsibility to ensure accuracy and clarity.

Only a few days to go until the Antrim Junior County Parade takes place in Portrush on Saturday 6th June 2026.

Parade Times :
12.30pm SHARP – Outward Parade
3.30pm – Return Parade

Car Park behind the Fire Station &
Sandhill Drive, Portrush

We look forward to seeing our Junior Boys Lodges, Junior Girls Lodges, Senior Brethern & Sisters along with other visiting Counties, Bands, families and supporters to enjoy a great day of fellowship and parading in the seaside town of Portrush.

Please ensure everyone is assembled in good time and follows the instructions of marshals & police throughout the day.

Dementia NI Presentation

Earlier this year, our Worshipful Master, together with a number of friends and supporters, had the privilege of sending a cheque for £6,515 to Dementia NI, raised through the Walk of Reflection in memory of Malcolm McMullan.

This fantastic total would not have been possible without the generosity of everyone who donated, supported, took part, and helped along the way. Your kindness and community spirit made a real difference.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to The Courthouse Bushmills for their support and assistance throughout the event.

On behalf of Portballintrae Royal Blues LOL 1142, thank you to everyone who helped make this fundraising effort such a success. Together we have supported an important local charity that helps people live well with dementia and supports families across Northern Ireland.
