A double dose of volunteering yesterday as The Star Bunkhouse was booked for exclusive hire, and our services weren't required. They say a change is as good as a rest, so managed to marshal at parkrun UK for Y Promenad in Brecon, before dashing to McNamara's Road in the Black Mountains for footpath maintenance with the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park uplands volunteers ☀️ ⚒️ 🌞

Twilight in Bwlch 🌄 Perched between the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons mountain ranges in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. Our bunkhouse is 220m above sea level, so if you are cycling here by road, you will have a bit of a climb from either direction 🚲 🚴🏼‍♂️

The Bwlch With Altitude Challenge returns on Saturday 6th June 2026, taking walkers through some of the spectacular scenery around Llangorse and Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park.

Some cool things coming up for the weekend 5-7 June 2026. We have also heard that there is a Midnight Marathon taking place, and the Big Hike for .
