👻🎃 Tis the season of tales around the Bonfire, so grab your marshmallows, and settle in for the spooktacular tale of Old MacNab 🎃👻

The Thistle Hotel, originally the Dreadnaught Hotel was once the seat of the Clan Macnab, “Timor Omnis Abesto” (Let fear be far from all) was the motto the clan lived and died by.

👀 Legend has it that Old Francis MacNab still inhabits his former home, giving our night porters and some of our guests the occasional fright! His portrait still hangs proudly in the Hotel.

So, if you happen to spot a ghost in a kilt this Halloween… you may well have met Old MacNab himself! so remember the motto of the Macnabs and fear nought he has only come to say hello and check his home is still welcoming. 👻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
