I do get distracted and waylaid at times...I'm putting a door on each end of the kitchen and going to put fold down windows at the breakfast bar, so when the weather is poor, guests can sit in comfort and warmth. I'll add a small wood burning stove too. All the materials I'm using for this are recycled and were donated over time, rather than them being taken to the tip, So that makes me smile :)

Whilst the sun shines I'm doing as much of my linen as possible...
7 x 11kg loads washed and then line dried so far...hopefully get it all done before the sun goes 🤞 My machine is powered by my solar system and aside from emergencies, most of the washing is dried on my line. Not as exciting or entertaining as posting about my goats...but shows I'm partially domesticated and can use a washing machine 😂😂😂

Another wee side project...My ex wife and I were planning this 12 years ago, Heated private baths on every unit. Hot tubs, Even wood fired, are really not environmentally friendly at all, So I'll never have those...but these are and will offer serenity and peace, Laying in one with a glass of w**e whilst looking at the stars. I'll do regular updates as I progress this....it's very exciting and will go hand in hand with the large sauna I'm building, (The Sauna will be available to guests and outside bookings) xx

A very quick visit to a local beach...

Sun, Sand, sea, tiny fish in tiny rockpools, Oysters clinging to the rocks.

We found large pools with shoals of tiny mullet, Tiny bass, Large 5" Shannys which followed my finger up through the water...also lots and lots of tiny shannys in rock pools 4" x 3"...I have no idea how they were surviving until high tide...such tough wee fish. Loads of anemones....I need to get out more xx

Fridays are always volunteer day on the Copper Pot, Today we're Working on the no dig beds and the fox proof fencing in the vegetable area (for the runner ducks) and working on the fencing in the apple orchard for the rescue chickens, If anyone fancies joining, Please Message me, I'll make lunch and endless teas and coffees 😊 Cam came and helped yesterday for the first time, We laid out all of my cardboard and paper animal feed bags...weighed them down with some old untreated pallets and then filled with waste from my rabbits, We'll carry this down all the way to the bottom and top with home made compost. The vegetable area will be quite large eventually and will also be used for running vegetable growing classes xx
