Yesterday, I visited Frimley Green Recreation Ground for my daily dog walk and noticed that the litter bins were full, with many overflowing.

I contacted SHBC and Glendale, the council's contractor, and I'm pleased to say the issue was dealt with quickly and efficiently the following morning.

With the Farnborough Air Show taking place in July and bringing additional visitors to the area, Glendale has confirmed that extra bin collections will be provided during the event to help keep the recreation ground clean and tidy.

While at the park yesterday, I also met with local police officers to discuss concerns about anti-social behaviour. I will continue to follow up with the police and work with them on these issues.

Thank you to everyone who has raised concerns and helped keep our community a great place to live and visit.

A special thank you to the SHBC officers for acting so quickly and for all their help and support.

New Frimley Park Hospital :

Important update for our community. The proposed relocation of Frimley Park Hospital to the Frimley Fuel Allotments raises serious concerns about the loss of green space, increased pressure on local infrastructure, and long-term impacts on residents. Please watch and consider supporting the campaign.

Great news for Deepcut residents! 🎉

The public car park at St Barbara's Church is expected to open in early July, providing improved access to the area and supporting the wider park development.

Thank you to everyone for your patience—we look forward to seeing this valuable community facility open very soon. 🚗🌳

Residents will soon be able to use the public car park at St Barbara's Church in Deepcut, with the facility set to open in early July.

Following discussions between Skanska and the council, the remaining works needed to complete the formal park have now been agreed, allowing a timetable for opening the car park to be confirmed.

Surrey Heath Portfolio Holder for Built Environment & Regulation Cllr Alan Ashbery said: "I know many residents have been frustrated by the wait for this car park to open, so I'm pleased we can now confirm that it is expected to open in early July.

"I'd like to thank residents for their patience while the final stages of the wider park development are completed by Skanska. We're looking forward to the facility being made available to the community very soon."

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the heroes of D-Day.

On June 6, 1944, thousands of brave men and women changed the course of history through their determination and commitment to freedom.

As we remember their extraordinary service, let us also reflect on the values they fought to protect—peace, unity, and hope for future generations.

We will never forget their sacrifice. Lest we forget.
