The views from the top are stunning.

You walk into the rock with a torch and it ends in a small chamber. 🏰🔦

Carreg Cennen stands 90 metres above the Cennen valley. The cave passage runs around 50 metres under the castle and may predate it, with prehistoric burials found inside. ⏳🪨

The current castle is largely thirteenth century and was deliberately slighted in 1462 during the Wars of the Roses. ⚔️✨
