Our lovely friend Danny got himself into some bother!
Danny is a local fisherman up on Skye and one of the loveliest guys you'll meet. Generous and kind to a fault.
It doesn't suprise us that he didn't hesitate to step up when asked. People on Skye are like that.
We spoke to him last night and he's in good spirits. The issue is that he's a fisherman and like most in the industry a contractee, so he isn't earning whilst recuperating. We know his boss too and know Willie will look after him. So it's glad to see the crowdfunder is doing well.
Hopefully the insurance will eventually sort out his truck, but I reckon that's going to take some time.
I suspect he won't be able to buy a drink in the pub for some time after this!

We know that Beachcomber is special and people can't wait to stay, but turning up the day before your booking is taking it a bit far! Luckily the previous guests had left, or the new ones would have more than likely be sleeping in their car last night!

"Skye's too busy". Take the time to ask the locals about their favourite walks and you may find yourselves the only people to be there. A magical walk today, wild flowers a plenty, otter and eagle sightings, old habitations, and just peace. (And a bit of shared Welly boot action at a burn, as the 'bridge' was a 'nope' all round!).

Living in a remote area has many many lovely things going for it. Getting the septic tank emptied isn't one of them! (Loved the wee jobbie!)
