It has 3 bedrooms, 2 wet rooms (waterproof wheelchair provided), mobile hoist, single profiling bed, wheelchair charging, ramp, wraparound, secure decking and a double sofa bed. Our welcoming REACH Retreat holiday lodge has been designed and decorated by people supported by Persona Care and Support. Based at South Lakeland Leisure Village, Carnforth, it's in the gorgeous Morecambe Bay area, which

includes Silverdale, Arnside and Grange-over-Sands. With good transport links by rail and road, it's in easy reach of Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, as well as the Lake District. It has 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed, 2 bathrooms (including wet room with waterproof , folding wheelchair provided), a mobile hoist & single profiling bed, wheelchair charging area and a ramp to the front door. Persona Care and Support are an adult social care organisation and we're taking bookings now - we'd love to hear from you! Our bookings team are available Monday - Friday during business hours and will get back to you as soon as they can. We offer a special price for the people we support and for our staff. The review reads:
We have had a lovely stay at the REACH Retreat lodge. We had a little visit to the Wildlife Oasis, only5 to 10 minutes away, which is small but personal. We went on to have a little look at Arnside, a lovely little seaside village with cute cafés, bars, and ice cream shops. We had a little walk along the front. It was a little tricky with the manual wheelchair, but we enjoyed what we managed. On Wednesday, we took a trip to Coniston, which is absolutely stunning. The kids enjoyed paddle boarding whilst we watched from Bluebird Café. Afterwards, we drove to Tarn Howes. They have a designated car park for blue badge holders, and the views were stunning!!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge had everything we needed. It is incredibly hard to find somewhere dog and wheelchair friendly. So, thank you!

What one simple thing could boost your mental wellbeing this week?
This lovely new brochure is full of inpsiration to get a breath of fresh air in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The park is only half an hour's drive from REACH Retreat - somewhere special to explore on your next holiday!

Spring is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the warmer days and longer evenings.

It's also a great time to visit gardens or woodland to see the new flowers coming up and we're blessed with some beautiful places to visit near REACH Retreat.
Leighton Hall and Sizergh Castle are both close by and there are lots more places you can explore too.

"We had a lovely stay at REACH Retreat; it's ideally situated to visit many places. We visited:
- Arnside (lovely but not very accessible in a wheelchair)
- Morecambe
- Grange-over-Sands
- we got the boat at Lakeside to Bowness.

There are so many ways to get around the Lake District, so your car can have a holiday too!

You can get to the 555 bus to Windermere from Carnforth (or take it to Lancaster for shopping and history) or train
-to take an open top bus ride
-get a bus and boat ticket
-to Kendal and beyond on the Lakes train line

or take the train from Carnforth
-for spectacular views on the Furness line to Arndale, Silverdale, Grange-over-Sands and beyond
-to Barrow-in-Furness for the Cumbrian Coast line
