It nestles at the edge of the North Medwyn River and has its own tranquil, private garden. The lovely views extend towards Tinto Hill and across the Pentland Hills. Edinburgh and Glasgow are both only a 45-minute drive and the characterful Borders towns of Peebles and Biggar are within a 30-minute drive. The World Heritage site of New Lanark and the Falls of Clyde are less than 20-minutes drive away.

It’s been a beautiful day to look round The Lint Mill with our Soil Association inspector on our 10th annual inspection. All our paperwork is on a pen drive these days to avoid the crazy paper mountain producing documentation usually creates. 10 years on and another highly positive inspection for us.

This two-day Lantra-accredited course will build practical skills in using livestock to deliver environmental and habitat management objectives.

**Our rare breed pork is now online**
Buying meat from The Lint Mill has always meant a message, a chat and a rummage in the freezer. Now you can see exactly what we have on our website, with every joint weighed and priced, and choose the one that's right for your table.
Order and pay online, then collect from the farm, where there's usually time for a chat and a cuppa.
It's organic, slow-grown and raised outdoors on our meadows. At the moment you'll find the last of this season's pork and our ever-popular sausages.

We’ve survived Storm Boelo overnight. The rain has caused a lot of flooding but mercifully no damage and all the animals are fine. The hatches are staying battened down as the high winds are set to continue throughout the day and into this evening.

A last taste of last season’s pork
In a few weeks our Oxford Sandy & Black pigs will make their final journey, and the freezer needs to be ready for them. So we’re offering the last few joints from last season at 10% off.
There’s not much left: four leg joints for roasting, three b***d and rolled bellies (crackling heaven), and a handful of packs of our handmade sausages. The sausages always go first, so if you’ve been meaning to stock up, now’s the time.
It’s the same slow-grown, organic, outdoor-reared pork as always, and good value while it lasts.

Today’s lovely find is this scarlet caterpillarclub - Cordyceps militaris. It’s a parasitic fungus that grows from buried moth pupae. It's a good sign for our soil. It turns up in mossy, undisturbed grassland with a healthy insect population underground, often alongside waxcaps and earthtongues.
