It's just 2 weeks until our next (and final) event of 2026, our Wings and Wheels event.
It's on Sunday 27th September from 10-3 and you can see a variety of classic and vintage vehicles with our own aircraft as a backdrop.

Normal museum admission applies for visitors.
Dogs welcome as usual.

The garden is looking lovely at the moment wiht some late summer blooms.

We’ve been busy giving Corlae Cottage a glow up lately. Back in April we replaced the upstair’s windows with UPVC and we are now fully double glazed. We also had the cladding replaced on the bay windows which is looking very smart.

Recently, we have repainted the downstairs and replaced the kitchen and hallway flooring and some light fittings and blinds. We’ve also bought a big new Smart Tv for the lounge and moved the smaller TV upstairs. Hopefully you’ll agree the cottage is looking cosier and brighter than ever!

MacLellan's Castle in Kirkcudbright has reopened more areas to the public following essential conservation work.

The conservation focused on restoring decaying lintels and repointing the castle’s south stair area.

Some sections remain closed as ongoing conservation efforts continue.
