Our September House of the Month is the spectacular Northridge Hall and Cottage.

Some houses are made for relaxing. Northridge Hall is made for getting the gang together. This grand Yorkshire manor sleeps up to 24 and is one of our favourites for big celebrations, stag and hen weekends and proper house parties. Think huge original rooms, two seven-seat hot tubs, a games room in the old stable, fireside drinks and plenty of space to keep everyone entertained. Whether you're planning a big birthday, a pre-wedding weekend or simply an excuse to get everyone together, this is a house that knows how to host.

Surrounded by Yorkshire countryside, with The Chequers Inn in Ledsham just a walk away for food and drinks. And when you fancy heading out, Leeds is around 20 minutes away and York is an easy day trip, while the surrounding countryside offers plenty of walks and places to explore. Work out in the on-site gym with your own trainer, book a massage in the treatment room, party under the disco lights, and play a round of golf.

You might like to spend some time in the games room: pick from pool, snooker, table football, darts, board games and the games console. You’ll also want to sizzle in the steam room. Then catch a movie on the projector in the cinema room or chat around the fire pit. Finally, pick from eight delicious en-suite bedrooms in the main building and five more in the stables.

Atlas Park is an eight-bedroom, Grade II-listed mansion tucked among the ancient cedars of Berkshire, entirely yours for the weekend. Hen parties toast new beginnings, family weekends turn into stories worth retelling, and long lunches stretch into evenings of cocktails, laughter and games. Cook together in the sociable kitchen, gather around the dining table with the bifold doors thrown open, then head to the bar as the shakers start to clink and the fire begins to glow.

Outside, there’s space to breathe, with distant hills, wide-open skies and a hot tub waiting beneath the stars. Inside, the games room calls for one more round, while the bar inevitably becomes the backdrop for the kind of nights you’ll talk about long after you’ve gone home.
